Barrackville Bridge
Built by Lemuel Chenoweth in 1853 using multiple Kingport with Burr Arch Truss system, it is the second oldest and the longest clear span bridge in the State. It crosses Buffalo Creek. Located near the then site of Ice's Mill, the bridge was saved from destruction during the Jones-Imboden Raid during the Civil War by the intervention of the Ice family who were Confederate sympathizers.
